This will be an exciting opportunity for PG&E and its suppliers – both current and new – to reshape the way we work together and to improve PG&E’s operations.
Contract Opportunity Description:
PG&E will be conducting an RFI for Construction Inspection Services (IBEW represented labor) and associated Construction Management (Indirect/non-union) for both Electric and Gas Operations.
• The bidder is to provide fully qualified, trained, and skilled contract resources to provide
staff augmentation to PG&E’s internal teams for various Construction Inspection/Construction Management work.
• The bidder shall either be registered with ISNetworld (ISN) with A or B score, or willing to register with ISN prior to work award and maintain an A or B score.
• The scope is primarily represented contract worker classifications from IBEW (Local Union
1245 AFL-CIO International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers) for inspection services (Construction
Coordinator/Inspector Class I-IV, Construction Coordinator/Inspector Supervisor Gas Quality Control
Supervisor, Lead Gas Inspector, Welding Inspector, Coating Inspector, Corrosion Mechanic, etc.) and
associated indirect/non-union classifications related to construction management (Construction
Managers, Inspectors, Project Specialists, Tech Advisors)
• The scope may also include ESC (a Contract Worker Classification specifically for PG&E
retired Hiring Hall Workers, which is subject to the Agreement between Engineers and Scientists of
California Local 20, IFPTE, AFL- CIO & CLC) for engineering, estimating, project management and
associated resources.
• The work may also include IBEW represented resources to perform the following:
o Test services (Test Specialist, Test Technician, Substation Test Inspector, etc.)
o Maintenance services
o Technical services
o Field services
Supply Chain Responsibility Considerations:
The selected supplier is encouraged to align with PG&E’s Supply Chain Responsibility policies and
procedures. The supplier will be asked to provide a detailed description of their internal,
specific supply chain responsibility program and practices related to supplier diversity,
environmental sustainability, and ethical business conduct.
