Rod Brewer is a Government Relations Advisor in State Public Affairs for Southern California Edison (SCE), where he serves as an in-house lobbyist and supports the State Legislative Affairs team in the development and conveyance of SCE’s external relations, constituent affairs, and business priorities before the State Legislature, the Administration, and related external stakeholders.
Prior to working for SCE, Rod served over 17 years as a policy consultant, legislative director and legislative aide for legislators in the U.S. House of Representatives and the California Legislature working on a broad range of issues, including: energy, utilities, emergency preparedness, privacy, transportation, economic development, water, agriculture, budget, government oversight, tribal government affairs, public safety, and open meetings laws.
Also, Rod is serving his third consecutive term as a Director on the Cosumnes Community Services District Board of Directors. The Cosumnes Community Services District is a special district agency that provides parks, recreation, fire and emergency services for the cities of Elk Grove, Galt, and surrounding communities in the southern portion of Sacramento County. Rod, a Tulare native, holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) Degree in Political Science – Public Service from the University of California, Davis.
