Johnnise Foster-Downs

Johnnise Foster-Downs joins the Board with a broad background in Political and Government Affairs. With over 20 years of Political and Government Affairs experience, Johnnise has held positions in both the public and private sectors.  Johnnise currently handles Government Relations for PG&E’s Sacramento-Sierra Division, covering Sacramento, Sutter, and Yuba Counties, and the cities of Davis and West Sacramento.  Before joining PG&E, she served as the Municipal Services Manager with Republic Services – a multi-billion-dollar, Fortune 300 waste, and recycling company.  Johnnise served in that capacity for 6 ½  years, where she managed municipal contracts and government affairs for the Sacramento Business Unit. Prior to her time with Republic Services, Ms. Foster-Downs was the Director of Public Policy for the Sacramento Metro Chamber. There, she managed the day-to-day advocacy, outreach, and promotion of the Metro Chamber’s goals throughout the six-county Sacramento region. Before joining the Metro Chamber, Johnnise held positions as the Director of Local Government Affairs for the California Restaurant Association; she was the Field Rep for County Supervisor, Roger Niello, and Senior Field Rep for Congressman Doug Ose. When she’s not working, Johnnise loves to travel and discover new wineries.
